Democrat Amy Acton raised slightly more than $6 million in September, about twice the little more than $3 million Republican Vivek Ramaswamy raised, the Ohio Capital Journal reported Oct. 13. Ramaswamy has now put more than $36 million of his own money into his campaign, including another $5 million loan.
Late-September polls from Suffolk (50% to 41%, likely voters) and Marist (50% to 44%, registered voters) put Acton ahead; polling averages show a closer race, and the Cook Political Report and Sabato's Crystal Ball still rated it a toss-up. Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 3.
